It is best to start preparing for studying abroad at least 12–18 months before your desired start date. This will give you enough time to improve your foreign language skills and obtain a certificate, prepare for entrance exams (if required), achieve the necessary score for admission, and accumulate additional achievements.

The minimum foreign language level for admission to a foreign university is B2. It is best to start preparing for international exams already having a confident B2 level, as preparation will require focusing specifically on the academic aspects of the language for studying.
